Transformative agreements are particular contracts stipulated with publishers with the aim to convert the traditional model “Pay per view” into “Read and Publish” model. This model allows authors to publish their works in open access at no additional cost.
At the moment IMT School subscribes to the following transformative agreements:
Contents: access to full-text of all publications included in the IEEE Xplore platform and the possibility for authors affiliated with the IMT School to publish in open access (starting from August 1st, 2022). Overlength and color charges are not included.
Management of publications in open access: corresponding authors affiliated with the IMT School can publish in Open Access regular papers, review papers, brief papers, invited papers, and surveys.
Contents: access to full-text of all journals included in the SpringerLink platform (starting from 1997 to the present) and the possibility for authors affiliated with the IMT School to publish in open access.
Management of publications in open access: Corresponding authors affiliated with the IMT School can publish in Open Access only Original Papers and Review papers. They must be published under a Creative Commons CC-BY license for most of the journals, and more specifically a CC-BY-NC license for some of them. Authors retain copyright.
Facilitations for Gold OA
Contents: access to journals included in subscribed over 2,000 journals from the publisher's Freedom Collection.
Management of publications in open access: discounted APCs are foreseen to publish articles in hybrid open access. The discount is 20% for the period 2018-2019, 15% for the period 2020-2021, and 10% for 2022. To get a discount, during the submission corresponding authors affiliated with the IMT School should indicate the CRUI-CARE contract and provide administrative information to Elsevier as required in the request form.
