The Library welcomes new requests from faculty and students for the Library collection, if in line with the School's purchasing policies and compatible with the budget availability at the time.
Request a book
Requests shold be sent by email to the library (lib@imtlucca.it), CCing the requester's track manager (for students) or unit manager (for researchers) for approval.
The Library will evaluate every request received and will consult with the reference teacher of the specific discipline area. Expensive requests will be evaluated by the Library Committee.
Request materials for teaching modules
The Library usually receives the reading lists from the PhD Office. We kindly request that professors send the list of suggested books at least 4 weeks before the start of the course, in order to have adequate time to purchase, receive and catalogue the books.
Since some students cannot return to Lucca due to the Covid-19 emergency, the library has decided to purchase e-formats of books listed in the syllabi. We kindly invite our users to e-mail us if they think any title is not yet available. The library staff will verify and proceed with the purchase where possible.
Recommend a new e-journal or database subscription
The Library also accepts request of new journal subscriptions or databases. These requests are always evaluated by the Library Committee.
